About
This blog was created in response to many inquiries about what we do, who we are, and how did we get to this point. Our goal at Dogwood Hills Farm is to have you go away with something new that you have learned while you were with us. My Dad always told me to “learn something new every day”, and I have made it a part of my life. Whether it is a hands on skill, a new technique, a passage of Scripture, or a history lesson, there is always learning to be done. On the other hand, there is always teaching to be done. What we need is to slow down and take the time to do both. From the kids that come on a field trip, to the guests that stay at the cottage, or the visitor that drops by for a cup of coffee, we share. Share what’s in the garden, on the table, on the counter, on my mind. And in turn people share new information with us. It’s amazing how much I’ve learned since we started the farm here in Arkansas. Some by reading, some by trial and error, some by very patient friends who have suggested a MUCH better way to do a few things. By the way , thank you!! As we continue in this learning process we will share, not just the good, but the bad and the ugly at times. Life isn’t always pretty, but it is beautiful, and it is a gift. How will you use what God has placed in your hands?
